I have soot, or black marks on my coals, pebbles or logs
It is critical that your coals, pebbles, or logs are placed correctly. Placing them incorrectly will block the desired flame path and this will then lead to sooting. Please refer to your installation instructions for cleaning and layout, and relay them correctly.
